Route Info

This beautiful bikepacking route connects Santa Fe to Las Cruces via a mixture of singletrack, forest roads and some pavement. We will climb the infamous "Bear Trap Canyon" and experience the coolness of northern New Mexico as well as the desert of southern New Mexico. This is the ride that founded the Trail Warrior Project! Our ride report can be found here detailing the day to day recap of our 2019 expedition.

We take 7-12 days to do the route, depending on how everyone is feeling.

Our last attempt write-up, where we were trapped by forest fires.

Important Info

Water and supply is marked on map and is pretty accurate. Bring a filter and there are enough towns to resupply food every few days.
